RETURN TO ACAPULCO - MUSIC FOR HOTELS (VOL. 1)
24-page 21x21cm Book + CD, ltd. 500 copies

The story of a family of hoteliers active since the 1960s on the Versilia Riviera, the renowned Tuscan seaside area, becomes the occasion for the compilation by the music critic and cultural agitator Vittore Baroni of an anthology of "Music for Hotels", a theme curiously ignored by international discography. A large group of musicians active in a variety of genres and styles have been asked to create a soundtrack for the different zones of the Hotel Acapulco in Forte dei Marmi - portrayed in the booklet in the evocative photos by Massimo Bianchini - which owes its name to the film starring Elvis Presley "Fun in Acapulco". The album offers not only instrumental electronic pieces between drone and ambient, but also contributions based on orchestral themes, folk-punk songs, nuggets of lysergic lounge rock, chamber art rock and even dark-industrial atmospheres, seeking the most appropriate key to give shape to a virtual sound itinerary between the large entrance hall and the concierge, the lounge bar and the rooms with sea or mountain views, the garden and the small raised swimming pool, in some cases with sounds recorded directly at the hotel during a working day.

Participating in the collection are Luca Leggero (already in Esterina), Deison, Stefano Giannotti (Timet), Rifrazione, Gabriele Gasparotti, Daniele Virgilio (TMO), Heimito Künst, Francesco Paolo Paladino (The Doubling Riders), The Garden of Love, Massimo Giacon, Vittorio Nistri & The Dead Freaks Society (Deadburger), Open To The Sea, Arlo Bigazzi, Bi Nostalgia (Endless Nostalgia), Daniele Ciullini. As a bonus track, Le Forbici di Manitù revisited the song "Fun in Acapulco" from the soundtrack of the film of the same name, somehow closing a circle.

A range of proposals capable of stimulating relaxing and romantic or pleasant and dynamic sensations, evoking exotic climates as well as sunny natural panoramas, without giving up research and originality or the disturbing shadows that can hide in the confines of an elevator or in the dark and deserted halls at the end of the season.
